The problems of the world are so varied and big that they are beyond the influence of any one person. Yet we frequently hear that our voice matters and our flawed systems are held up by individuals. I came to You Are Here as a way of making sense of the individual in the big picture as I approach all problems, through lists, maps, and diagrams. Paring down information and making connections are my way of sorting out complex problems. After dozens and dozens of iterations, I’ve pared down to this. It still feels big, but I feel a little clearer on where the individual, me and you, are in all of it.
